Who has not been outside of the house with the kids and then - one baby needs a bottle, one needs a diaper change, and you can’t find your keys in the diaper bag! It would be really nice if you had easy access to all the baby stuff we need without digging out the bottom of the stroller and then dumping the diaper bag all over the floor. Yes, as guys this is how we get it done. We don’t have time or patience to carefully and slowly remove the diaper bag and sift through all the items we jam in there and put them back exactly how they were before. Its a nice thing to try, but it really does not happen.
At a recent trade show, we came across a relatively new company with an interesting solution. Plus, this company makes products with the dad in mind and with a name like DadGear we could not refuse a look at their products. They are attempting to push the evolution of “diaper bags” for dads. What is their concept? DadGear was able to boil it down to three elements - masculine look (no pink diaper bags here), high quality and thoughtful design. Their main product is called the Diaper Vest, Wearable Diaper Bag. After reviewing taking their product and giving it the “DaddyDaily” test we can say the evolution and revolution is underway!
How did we test it?
- Put it on - It really is very comfortable.
- Pockets - Oh, there are pockets. You can really pack all the items you will need instead of having a diaper bag. Cell phones, keys, diapers, wipes, bottles (baby bottles), etc. all had their place.
- The product - fleece materials is really good quality and zippers held up to a bit of abuse.
So, if you are looking for an alternative to the pink diaper bag we think this is one that should be on your list. The fleece come is two different styles (vest and a cargo jacket) and in several colors.
This is a great gift for an expectant or new dad. And ladies, this is a great product to make sure us dads stay involved with changing diapers and lightening the load in your pink diaper bag.

My husband and I are DadGear junkies! We own several of the bags (can’t own just one when there are SO many fantastic designs in their line)! We love that every item in the bag is so easily accessible! We were also amazed that a fully-loaded DadGear vest lays so flat. You honestly cannot tell it is holding all the essentials for a day out with the kiddos. We give them as gifts at every baby shower. Needless to say, NO recipient has been disappointed! We agree… AWESOME concept & product!

My sister-in-law and I started a website featuring unique and creative products that can be very helpful to moms and dad especially during those first couple months. The Dadgear diaper vest definitely made the list. It is comfortable, and does the job of a diaper bag. GREAT product!
